Morreto Trade was founded in 2002 as a side business of Koos Smit, focussing in selling cartons and other packaging material to farmers.

After more than 25 years working as a fruit packhouse manager, Koos decided in 2009 to work full-time for his own company. By this time Morreto Trade was manufacturing pallets to compliment the product range offered to customers.

Morreto Trade has grown to be a preferred pallet supplier in the Western Cape for the fruit export market, the wine industry and various FMCG and industrial companies.
